Florcy Morisset is an award winning cultural arts ambassador, firmly rooted in creative community and committed to the vibrancy and expressive power of art!  As a thought leader and champion of international culture, her muse affords her a fluidity of titles, businesswoman, lifestyle connoisseur, and community servant; a staunch advocate for access, art and culture for all! Florcy is a firebrand working at the intersection of creative economy, arts management, and business development in the Philadelphia area and beyond.

In 2007, in the midst of a national recession, Florcy debuted Vivant Art Collection on Gallery Row in the heart of Philadelphia’s Historic District of Old City.  Inspired by her passion for culture and love of art, she took on the challenge of opening an art gallery despite not having a traditional background. Her drive and ambition propelled her into the art world. From those modest beginnings, the gallery has expanded its reach to celebrate underrepresented art from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America and across the world, while never losing its niche of highlighting Haitian art.  The artwork is best described as vibrant, rich, bold, and embedded with story and history, that highlights the lives of people of color throughout the diaspora.  Vivant’s mission for the past 7 years, has been to educate and empower its guests with the legacy and messages of indigenous art, art makers, and the cultures that gave birth to them.

Florcy believes in building bridges between the art world and the community by hosting social events, films screenings, political receptions, art making, etc.  Some of her popular curatorial projects are “The Illustrated Sounds of Philadelphia,” – A Tribute to Past & Present Philadelphia Musical Icons at Vivant Art Collection, “Transcending History - Moving Beyond the Legacy of Slavery and the Holocaust” a traveling exhibit, and “Haiti: A Tribute in Art” at the Noyes Museum.

In its successful 7 year tenure, Vivant Art Collection has transcended the status of a gallery and grown into a cultural arts destination; A social epicenter, amassing a vast network of artists, supporters and seekers of aesthetic beauty who actively attend First Fridays, Season of the Arts, Vivant Salutes!, charitable  fundraisers, and other signature events.

Florcy has broadened her scope, to respond to the specialized needs of art professionals by creating Vivant Art Consulting.
